Sandwich Police responded to report motor vehicle vs pedestrian crash on RTE 130 in the area of the Sandwich Car Wash. Upon arrival a female pedestrian walking northbound on the east side of the roadway with another female was struck. The pedestrian landed on the hood of the vehicle, and slide off to the side of the vehicle.
The operator of the motor vehicle stopped at the crash scene. The female pedestrian was transported to South Shore Hospital Trauma Unit by the Sandwich Fire Department. Sandwich Police Department were assisted by the Barnstable County Sheriff Crime Scene Unit and the Cape Cod Regional Law Enforcement Accident Reconstruction Team.
The crash remains under investigation.
