Chief Wack and the members of the Sandwich Police Department invite you to join them for the twelfth session of the Sandwich Police Department’s Citizen’s Police Academy.
The academy will run for 12 weeks beginning March 24, 2016 and will meet Thursday evenings from 6:30pm-9:30pm. The academy is open to any interested resident, town employee, or business owner of the Town of Sandwich who is 18 years of age or older.
Applications are now available 24 hours a day at the dispatch window of the Sandwich Police Department. They will also be available online at Sandwichpd.com next week. Application deadline is Monday March 7, 2016. Class size is limited so don’t delay!
The curriculum will include a Station Tour and Cruiser Ride Alongs, Criminal/Constitutional Law, Patrol Procedures, Sandwich Police Specialized Units, K-9 Demonstation, Defensive Tactics/Officer Survival, Use of Force, Major Crime Investigations, Firearms (including Range Segment), Field Trips to Courthouse and County Jail…. and MUCH MORE!
