On Saturday June 13, 2015 between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm the Sandwich Police Department in conjunction with the Sandwich Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni will sponsor our 4th annual “Stuff-A-Cruiser” Food Drive at the two Stop and Shop locations in Sandwich; Quaker Meeting House Road and RTE 6A Merchants Square. The food collected will benefit the Sandwich Food Pantry.
The summer months are traditionally a time when food pantries find their inventories at the lowest levels. In an effort to improve these levels within the Sandwich community, the Sandwich Police Department is partnering with the Sandwich Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni and Sandwich Food Pantry to collect non-perishable food items.
The community is asked to visit a Stop and Shop location within Sandwich during this event and donate non-perishable food items. Members of the Sandwich Police Department will be on-site collecting these items and stuffing them into a cruiser. All other non-perishable food items are also welcomed.
