Are you or someone you know a full-time Civil Service Police Officer in Massachusetts? Through the lateral transfer program, the Sandwich Police Department is interested in considering you for a full-time position
Officers hired will be paid immediately at the step which matches their current and continuous number of years in full-time police work. Salary steps as of 7/1/21 are:
- 1 year $28.21
- 2 years $29.53
- 3 years $30.86
- 4 years $32.20
- 5 years $33.16
- 10 years $34.00
- 20 years $34.85
Additionally, shift differential and compensation for college education is added; 10% for an associates degree, 20% for a bachelor’s degree and 25% for a masters degree. The Town covers 75% of health benefit costs.
