Joint Communications Center
The Sandwich Police Department operates a joint communications center for both Police and Fire Departments. 9 full-time Emergency Telecommunicators staff this center 24/7. The center handles all 911 calls, routine calls and radio communications with police and fire personnel. Emergency dispatching has developed considerably over the recent years. This center, with dedicated employees who will specialize in handling routine and emergent communications within Sandwich, provide a truly professional service to our community.

Full-time dispatchers enjoy great benefits (75/25), paid vacation days, personal days and holidays. Significant pay increase after completing probation and paid shift differential for evenings ($6) and midnights ($9). Uniform allowance included. This is a great job for you. Salary after probation: $24.65
