On August 18, 2015 at 1457 multiple 911 calls were received by the Sandwich Police department reporting a collision between a concrete pump truck and a pick-up truck. The pick-up came to a stop to make a U-Turn. The concrete truck was unable to stop and collided with the pick-up. The impact of the collision pushed the pick-up across the road into the woods. The pick-up sustained heavy damage to the rear of the vehicle. Both Operators were evaluated by Sandwich Fire Department and no injuries were reported. The operator of the concrete pump truck was found to be at fault for following too closely by not allowing enough distance to safely stop.
