2015 Food Drive Results
On June 13th, 2015 the Sandwich Police Department in partnership with the Sandwich Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association held our fourth annual food drive for the Sandwich Food Pantry.
This event resulted in the collection of $1,500.00 in cash donations and 248 boxes of non-perishable items. All of these items were delivered to the Sandwich Food Pantry.
“This year’s event saw an increase and cash and non-perishable donations from last year. The event continues to grow each year. I would like to thank everyone who made a donation this year. I would also like to thank Officer Daniel Perkins, who came up with the idea to support the food pantry in 2012, and all of the police officers and members of the Sandwich Citizen Police Academy Alumni who volunteered their time for this important event. The summer months are a time when food pantries are in need of donations. Giving back to our community is so important,” stated Chief Peter N. Wack.
